Finding a brand's competitive advantage

Brief

The category was being squeezed as private label products rapidly stole share by offering “good enough” quality at lower prices. The brand needed to justify its premium and prove that quality was still a meaningful differentiator, not a commodity.

Action

Synthesis of deep consumer insight work — quant, qual, usage data and pain‑point analysis — to define what “quality” truly meant in the category and where private labels were falling short. We partnered across product and marketing to turn those insights into proof points, segmentation‑led messaging and clear reasons to pay for premium.

Result

The brand was successfully repositioned around credible, evidence‑backed quality, driving a 7% uplift in consideration among target segments and helping it regain share in premium tiers while strengthening loyalty among quality‑seeking customers. The project also demonstrated how robust consumer insight can guide not only marketing execution but product innovation and long‑term brand strategy.

Winning incremental growth in quick commerce

Brief

Quick‑commerce platforms like Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats were reshaping how consumers bought food and drink, creating a fast‑growing but poorly understood channel. A major drinks brand needed clarity on who these shoppers were, which platforms they used and how to drive visibility and sales in this rapidly evolving space.

Action

A mixed‑method research programme was designed and led to uncover how consumers used quick‑commerce platforms, the occasions and missions driving purchase, and the barriers and opportunities within the in‑app shopper journey. These insights were synthesised into a five‑year channel strategy with clear recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotions and digital merchandising to maximise brand presence and sales.

Result

The project delivered the brand’s first comprehensive quick‑commerce strategy, identifying the most profitable missions and occasions and giving senior leaders a clear roadmap for targeted investment and sharper execution. It positioned the brand to capture incremental sales and strengthen relevance with digitally savvy shoppers, ensuring long‑term competitiveness in an evolving retail landscape.

Customer clarity for hair & beauty salon

Brief

The founder of a growing hair and beauty salon, was struggling to understand why customer loyalty had plateaued despite strong footfall and positive word‑of‑mouth. 

Action

The salon’s customer reviews, behaviour patterns and end‑to‑end experience were analysed to identify the themes driving both satisfaction and frustration. These insights were distilled into clear recommendations and a focused 30‑day action plan the team could implement quickly.

Result

The salon gained a clear view of what their customers valued most and the changes that would strengthen loyalty. With targeted improvements and a practical action plan, they were able to enhance the experience, improve consistency and set the salon up for more intentional growth.

Finding direction for author's 3rd novel

Brief

The Author wanted clearer direction on how to position her personal brand and communicate her value with more confidence. She had strong experience and a compelling story, but needed help understanding what resonated most with her audience and how to express it in a way that felt authentic and commercially sharp.
